This policy explains what personal data BCN Minibus collects through bcnminibus.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. We keep it as simple as we can.
Who is responsible for your data
BCN Minibus (“we”, “us”) runs this website and a private minibus and VIP van transfer service in Barcelona and Catalonia. For any question about your personal data, write to us at minibus@gmail.com.
What data we collect and why
Booking requests (the “Get a Quote” and booking forms). Your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, pickup and drop-off locations, dates and times, flight number, number of passengers and luggage, chosen vehicle, any notes you add, and the language of the page you used. We use this to reply to you, prepare a quote and arrange and carry out your transfer. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, because you tick the box on the form, your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
Contact form. Your name, email address and message. We use them to answer your question. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(a) and (f)).
Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe. We use it to send you news and offers. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Emails and messages you send us (including on WhatsApp). The content and your contact details, to answer you and manage your booking.
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and time of request) to run and protect the website. When you send a booking request we also use your IP address, in hashed form and for about one hour only, to limit spam and repeated submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (Article 6(1)(f)).
If you do not give us the details marked as required on a form, we cannot prepare your quote or arrange your transfer.
Cookies and third-party content
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not set cookies on your device for its own purposes. Some pages load content from other companies, which may receive your IP address and technical information when the page loads:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) provides the typefaces used on every page. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Maps is shown on the Contact page. When the map loads, Google may set cookies and collect data about your visit.
- Hostinger Reach provides the newsletter form in the footer.
- Links to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are ordinary links. Those services receive data only if you click through and visit them.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers and people we need to run the service:
- our website hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website and the booking requests;
- Google (Gmail), which we use to receive your requests and to send you our replies and confirmations;
- Hostinger Reach, if you subscribe to the newsletter;
- the driver assigned to your journey, who receives only the details needed to carry it out (for example pickup point, time, number of passengers and a contact name);
- public authorities, where the law requires us to share information.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, this is covered by safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep your data
- Booking requests and related messages: for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting booking, and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example for tax and accounting) or to deal with possible claims.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to give you access to your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of your data, and you can withdraw your consent whenever you wish, without affecting what we did before. To use any of these rights, email minibus@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or to the authority in your own country.
Security
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to booking requests is limited to the people who need it. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data.
Children
Our services and this website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children without a parent or guardian making the booking.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
